Rural communities suffer from poor road conditions, such as around Clapar. Aliet Green established the first Organic and Fair Trade project there. They have received support to improve their rural access road.
The priority to take care of these roads was low in Clapar. This was due to financial constraints and cost-efficiency. Also, there were only a few beneficiaries.
That is why public transport was the solution for the farmer communities. They should connect the houses and farms in various communities.
Transport activities on rural access roads vary. Some walk and others use bicycles and animal-drawn carts. Only a few choose motorized transport.
