Lastiana Y. knew her business, Aliet Green, could do more for the health of people and the planet. As an organic coconut sugar manufacturing and trading company, Yuliandari worked alongside farmers to empower them in implementing sustainable practices that help address climate change and honor local ecosystems. She also set goals to restore lands, increase productivity and animal welfare, and improve the environment through better farming processes.
But even that wasn’t enough for Yuliandari. She obtained fair-trade certification and continues to publicly speak about going green and becoming socially responsible. In recognition of her work, Yuliandari has received a Sustainable Foods Award, a UN Best Small Business award, and WEConnect International’s Rise to The Challenge Award. She is a true inspiration when it comes to corporate sustainability and a powerful advocate for saving the environment.
