Aliet Green to Welcome the First Visit from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO)

After a more than two and half-year postponed visit by RVO, who supported and facilitated Aliet Green’s land, soil, and water management project at Aliet Green’s agro-forestry projects. We could finally welcome Ms. Wenneke Bosshardt from September 9-10, 2022, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This visit was to see the progress of the nine established pilot sites that would be good examples for other Aliet Green farmers. Ms. Wenneke Bosshardt could also better understand each site’s conditions. It was also a good opportunity for the consortium partners to share project achievements.

In 2018, Aliet Green entered into technical assistance through the Partnership for Sustainable Development (SDGP) program on Sustainable Intensification of Agro-Forestry Production Systems (“Sugar and Steam”), which aims to improve the income, productivity, and climate resiliency of over 2.000 farmers (60% are female) in Kulon Progo, Indonesia. This is done through value chain integration and the introduction of suitable on-farm practices and technologies, contributing to sustainable and ecologically-sound food chains, better labor conditions, and ethical working procedures throughout the value chain. This program will last until the end of 2024.
