At the invitation of President Joko Widodo, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima paid a state visit to the Republic of Indonesia from Tuesday 10 March to Friday 13 March 2020. They visited Jakarta and Yogyakarta on the island of Java and the islands of Kalimantan and Sumatra.
On behalf of Aliet Green, Lastiana has accepted an invitation to attend a magical evening at Prambanan Hindu Temple for welcoming His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Maxima in Yogyakarta.
The Sultan of Yogyakarta chose Prambanan Temple to welcome King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands to end their visit to Yogyakarta by being presented with the cultural heritage of the Special Province of Yogyakarta through a traditional dance performance.
The temple compound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is Indonesia’s largest Hindu temple site and the second-largest in Southeast Asia.
Due to some health awareness during the COVID-19 pandemic, Health Care personnel checked all guests before entering the premises to ensure the Corona Virus does not infect all people invited. No handshaking was allowed at that time. Invited people were obliged to follow health protocols from the Dutch Embassy as the organizer.
It was a magnificent event to eye-witness the presence of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Maxima visiting Yogyakarta. It was a big honor for Aliet Green to being invited.
