Lastiana Yuliandari, our founder at Aliet Green, had the incredible honour of participating in the “Women in Trade for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth” project event, hosted by TFO Canada at the National Arts Centre | Centre national des Arts, in Ottawa, Canada.
As part of a distinguished panel, moderated by Marysabel Gonzalez, Program Director at TFO Canada, Lastiana shared insights into how women-led SMEs from developing countries are creating ripples of change through inclusive trade and climate adaptation.
This initiative, funded by Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada is an inspiring example of how collaboration between Canadian businesses, SMEs, trade support institutions, and development partners can drive gender equality, social inclusion, and sustainable trade practices across the globe.
A highlight was meeting The Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s Minister of International Development, and reconnecting with the Global Affairs Canada team, who visited Aliet Green earlier this year to assess our impact as part of the Tropical Landscape Grant Fund.
We are proud to be part of this transformative journey, showcasing how fair trade and sustainable practices can empower women entrepreneurs, strengthen global connections, and address climate challenges.
Together, we’re proving that when women lead in trade, the results benefit everyone.
